All Souls Day

Memorial Candles

As you know, November is the month that the Church traditionally dedicates to the memory of our beloved dead, beginning with the Memorial Feast of All Souls Day, November 2.

Last year, the Parish introduced a new way of memorializing your loved ones by offering to burn a (real!) Candle in their name for the entire month of November. It was a wonderfully successful and fitting way to show tribute in prayer to our beloved deceased. We are happy to offer the opportunity again. The special Candle stand display, beautifully crafted by our own Mr. John Bews last year, will be set up again next to the Tabernacle where the Candles will be situated. The names that you memorialize will be inscribed on a sign near the Candles, in order that all can clearly see and join in prayer for them.

The requested donation for each month long memorialization is $75 (approximately $2.50/day)

If you are interested in this special All Souls Memorial, please obtain a Form from the Church Lobby or Parish Office to provide the following info for each Candle, and return it with your donation: Your name, phone number, and/or email address; Name of deceased person to be memorialized on the Candle.

Let’s pray for our departed loved ones ...

Eternal Rest Grant onto them O Lord, and let perpetual Light shine upon them.  Amen
